Does this replace QuickBooks, Xero, or my tax software?+
No. QuickBooks / Xero are the books; Lacerte / Drake / UltraTax are the returns. DDH sits between them as the working layer — quick estimates, client-facing dashboards, AI drafting, side-of-desk tracking. Most accountants run DDH alongside their existing stack, not instead of it.
Can I use one account across multiple clients?+
Yes — Pro ($19/mo) is per-operator, and you can run as many client engagements as you want from it. For multi-staff firms, Teams ($99/mo) gives 5 seats sharing a workspace. The 266 dashboards are not metered per client.
Is the data secure for client work?+
Most dashboards run entirely in your browser, so client numbers never leave your device. Saved entries sync to your account so you can pick up on a different device. We never sell or share your inputs — see /privacy. For prompt-routing, you supply your own model (Claude/GPT/Gemini), so confidentiality is governed by their terms.
Does it generate IRS-ready forms?+
No — DDH is not tax-prep software and does not e-file. It produces the working numbers (quarterly estimates, P&L summaries, expense ledgers) that you carry into your tax-prep software or hand to a client. This is intentional: estimating and drafting is what eats your hours; the e-file workflow is already solved.
What if my clients use Excel and won't change?+
Every dashboard exports to CSV — you stay on DDH for the working math, deliver the file to the client in whatever format they want. They don't have to learn anything new.
