What is Sales Velocity?
Sales velocity measures how fast your product moves off retail shelves. It's calculated as: Cases Shipped ÷ Number of Stores ÷ Number of Weeks = Cases/Store/Week
Step 1: Enter Product Info
Go to "Store Data Entry" and type your product name and the time period in weeks you want to measure.
Step 2: Add Store Data
Click "+ Add Store" for each retail location. Enter the store name and total cases shipped during the time period.
Step 3: (Optional) Weekly Breakdown
For trend tracking, add weekly data showing total cases across all stores per week.
Step 4: Review Results
Check the Dashboard for KPIs, charts, and your velocity verdict. View the Velocity Table for sortable per-store breakdowns.
Benchmarks:
Below 0.5 cases/store/week = At risk of delisting
0.5 - 1.0 = Below average, needs attention
1.0 - 2.0 = Solid performer
2.0 - 3.0 = Strong velocity
3.0+ = Star performer
